MATE: Museo Mario Testino, founded in Lima in 2012 by world renowned fashion and portrait photographer Mario Testino, is a not-for-profit establishment which showcases the works of Testino alongside Peruvian artists.
Through a rich programme of exhibitions, events and residencies as well as an educational programmes, the institution aims to promote Peruvian artists
and culture worldwide.
Testino's photographs have been published internationally in magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair. He is widely known for his success in leading fashion houses and for his portraits of icons such as models Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen, Madonna and many more.

It has been announced that next month at Sotheby's, London, Testino will be auctioning off his personal collections of art will be auctioned for the benefit of Museo Mate.
Testino recently announced that he never sold anything and that he had been way too attached to his collections, however he is on a mission.
Shake It Up: Works from the Mario Testino Collection Auction to Benefit Museo MATE, Lima, Peru will be taking place on
13 & 14 September 2017. All sales from the auction will be contributed towards the support of the centre's programme of exhibitions, residencies,
education and an overall expansion.

Up For Auction: Adriana Varejão, Blue Sauna, 2003
One of Testinos collections, an oil on canvas piece by Adriana Varejão is estimated to sell between £400,000–£600,000 at the Shake It Up auction.
Richard Prince, Untitled (Girlfriend) is estimated to sell betweeen £250,000 - £350,000
Jacqueline Humphries, Pile, 2008 is estimated to sell between £40,000-£60,000 at Shake It Up
Shake It Up at Sotheby's auction house will be taking place on 13 & 14 September 2017.
